6. A mix of good and bad data presentation.
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 12:36 PM by Donald Ian Rankin
The first chart wants to make me strangle whoever prepared it, it's so obfuscatory - for one thing, data should never, ever be represented as a circle, because it's unclear whether you're refering to the radius or the area.

The second is excellent - clear, striking, well-presented and a good choice of information to convey.

The third looks interesting, but it needs to be more clearly labelled.

The fourth isn't bad, although it's not terribly illuminating.

There are a bunch of really obvious things missing - a graph showing how much wealth someone at each centile has, for example.

7. I note that the top 10% seem to have an average income that is middle class
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 12:42 PM by hfojvt
top 1-10% have an average family income of $164,647 which some insist is just a middle class income that should never, ever face a tax increase, not even a tax increase of $160 (which, incidentally, was my own tax increase on $12,000 under the Obama compromise)
