Dropped by Limbaugh during a Hartmann break: mocked liberal criticisms of Republican debate audience
During a Thom Hartmann break I turned on my local right-wing station "Hot Talk 560 KSFO" (I can name several left-wing stations in the US marketed as progressive talk but have yet to hear stations like KSFO branded as "conservative talk", usually at most some will be branded as Fox News if affiliated as so) to peek at the latest garbage that Rush Limbaugh has to say. Limbaugh had this odd rant about the Duke rape case and claimed that liberals will trust any woman's rape claim as true only because of the seriousness of the charge rather than evidence. Then he mocked how the left criticized the audience reactions during Republican debates: first when the gay soldier asked Rick Santorum about DADT then how people applauded Rick Perry boasting about the death penalty in Texas. In Perry's defense, Limbaugh spun the audience reaction as praising law enforcement rather than death penalty. I hope that Media Matters will have a transcript of this soon but this is the briefest summary I can provide so far.
