SEATTLE'S O.W.S. Being Told To Move The Event Per The Mayors Office

Just got word that OCCUPY Seattle is being told to vacate Westlake Plaza as the city will not extend the current permits past their expire date.

Their Lawyer is seeking other prominent venues around town.

Here is a FB text of the update.

UPDATE: Mayor's intention to issue a permit is now looking doubtful for Westlake in particular, but other options have been offered (Freeway Pk & City Hall Pk). An Emergency Assembly is needed ASAP to discuss the options - our lawyer is waiting on our decision to begin the process again. Also, last night occupiers were deceived; they were told that the center platform @ Westlake Plaza had been reserved w/a permit for a "community chili cook-off," so they moved back under the trees and out of center stage to accommodate this. However, rather than chili and community, now there is a giant Target advertisement. Wtf?! Support and solidarity is needed! Bring your friends, your cameras and phones! See you there. - DM

Government and Corporations are complicit.

2. They were at Freeway Park? Westlake would be the best place, IMO,
but apparently that's not to be. :(

7. Someone mentioned "the park" - so I was wondering if it was
Freeway Park. I'm not tuned in -- at work trying to catch a snip here and there. :)
