FOX News Launches An ALL OUT ASSAULT Against Occupy Wall Street
:smoke: :smoke: :smoke:

Here comes the ' Richest 1% ' Fraud Network to defend their rich bum friends.

" Occupy Wall Street has grown and now Fox News is stepping up their attacks. The network of the 1% has spent multiple segments today claiming that the protesters are idiotic and don’t understand how the world works.

Here is the video of Steve Moore claiming the protesters don’t know how the world works from Media Matters:

http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201110030011

On FNC’s America’s Newsroom today, The Wall Street Journal’s Steve Moore (feel that News Corp synergy) said, “Listening to those commentaries by those young people it’s sort of an indictment of our education system isn’t it? That these kids just don’t understand how the world works. What’s going on here is, I think it’s a frustration on the left of the fact that Obama’s policies haven’t worked. That the whole agenda of hope and progress just hasn’t happened and now you’re getting a kind of angry left, and I think the reason this is an important story, Martha is to see whether this escalates. We’re starting to see this kind of protests in cities around the country, and let’s hope, but I wouldn’t rule it out that these escalate and they may even turn violent. We’ve seen that by the way in Europe. We’ve seen that in places like London and Greece where you know, it’s not always so peaceful.”

Here is Charlie Gasparino calling the protesters idiots via Media Matters:

http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201110030018

Gasparino claimed that the real problem is that Wall Street can’t pay their fair share because they are over regulated and hurting. He then said of the protesters, “First off, I want to point out the irony of these idiotic protesters. They really should be going to Washington. That’s where they’re squeezing Wall Street and basically taking money out of the welfare state which these protesters want to grow.”

According to Fox News the people who are taking to the streets around the country aren’t mad at the Republican Party for bailing out Wall Street in 2008. They aren’t angry that the policies of the GOP (Grand Old Party) and George W. Bush blew up the economy. They aren’t mad because Obama can’t get a jobs bill through Congress to due to Republican obstruction. Nope, all the protesters at Occupy Wall Street are mad at Obama. They are all unrealistic kids who don’t know how the real world works.

5. the way the world works?!?!?
The world "works" the way the 1% has set it up to work. Laws don't write themselves and policies are not created via spontaneous generation. Sheesh.

"It isn't only the political power that grows out of the barrel of a gun. So does a whole definition of reality. A set. And the action that has to happen on that particular set and none other. Their Imagination will become your Reality in a second." - Robert Anton Wilson

"The system is not free or random. There's a steady profit accruing to one group and an equally steady loss accumulating for all others. Privileges, or Private Laws — the rules of the game, as promulgated by those in power - are the factors that control all other variables." - Robert Anton Wilson

19. Be careful. You'll start off with Robert Anton Wilson and you'll end up with Kerry Thornley
Yeah, the sad truth is that Wilson described this dynamic in detail back in the early seventies, and later again in his nonfiction.

And how did he do such a good job predicting the right wing? He started with the (fictional) premise that ALL the conspiracy theories were true. That must tell you something about the right wing, but I'm not sure what.

21. As relevant today as he ever was.
He, for one, appreciated the irony that even some of the most wild exaggerations in his fiction work often proved to hit too close to home. Prometheus Rising (on the non-fiction side) is one of my favorites, and gives disturbing insight into control and manipulation.

I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention this comment/prediction of his (from 1990):

Wouldn't REAL Capitalism have allowed Wall Street to crumble instead of bailing them out? My anger is we had their backs, now they are stabbing us in ours!

23. What they're really defending is my username
Fox News defines capitalism as cards stacked in favor of business, but also as business being in charge and getting to influence government however they want. This is a very specific reason people are protesting, I think, and the status quo that Fox is defending so blatantly. I've been checking in a bit on their coverage, they're doing all they can to make the protesters look stupid.

http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=4408

CNN's Factcheck Failure on Occupy Wall Street

10/4/11

Former CNBC reporter Erin Burnett's CNN show OutFront debuted Monday night (10/3/11) with a failed attempt to factcheck the Occupy Wall Street protests.

The show kicked off with Burnett explaining that she

went to Wall Street today to see those protests for myself. I saw dancing, bongo drums, even a clown.... I asked several protesters what it was that they wanted. Now, they did not know.... They did know what they don't want.

Burnett added that "it seems like people want a messiah leader, just like they did when they anointed Barack Obama."

30. Ah, yes, let's ask Heritage/Cato stooge Stephen "Kreskin" Moore what he thinks.
He is, after all, the author and/or editor of such right-on-the-money classics as

Bullish On Bush: How George Bush's Ownership Society Will Make America Stronger (ShyAH . .. howz THAT workin' out for you? More like the "You're On You're Own"-ership society.)

Privatization: A Strategy for Taming the Deficit (OH boy . . . another spank-o-rama for the Libertarian sect)

The End of Prosperity: How Higher Taxes Will Doom the Economy--If We Let It Happen (Didn't seem to doom the economy from 1949 to 1973. The trend of lowering taxes while shipping blue and then white collar jobs the hell overseas . . . a product of YOUR party's philosophy, BTW, is what doomed the economy. Stupid)

It's Getting Better All the Time: 100 Greatest Trends of the Last 100 Years (written in 2000, the start of one of the POOREST decade-long stretches of job growth in history. Need I remind Stevie WHAT happened 3 years ago under his party's watch???)

Or, let's ask total right wing asshat and former amateur boxer Chuckles Gasparino, who left Far Right CNBC for Far-as-Right-Goes Faux, for his entirely adult-like opinion on people trying to voice their opinion against a painfully FLAWED and obviously FAILED economic system.

In the immortal words of Rodney Dangerfield, these guys really tell it like it AIN'T. Unbridled corporatism ruins far more lives than it enhances. And Stephen Moore remains a d-bag moron who, like all Republicans and Right-Leaning Libertarians, pseudo-intellectually tries to defend FAILURE . . . and in doing so, fails miserably. It's no wonder Racheal Maddow owned his ass on Maher this year . . . he's a comedy act where the joke's on US.
