2. This should be on billboards on major highways in every city in America.

If you're an individual making less than $100k/yr, you have more in common with minimum wage workers who flip burgers & clean toilets than you do with hedge-fund managers.

3. k, so don't get mad at a dumb question: Why don't we give everyone $1million > a tax cut & everyone
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 09:35 PM by patrice
$1million < progressive increases, on the theory that $1 million > are less dependent upon fiat currency & toxic assets than $1 million <, so $1 million > would actually have some entrepreneurial capital available, that is (unlike those above them) capital that they are actually able to invest in authentically NEW enterprises and they'd be willing to do that for some moderate tax cuts, the people's price for which would be "Defense" cuts to 30% of revenues and Universal Single Payer Health Care coverage. . . . ?

4. 94% Not 60 or 70 was top tax rate 1945
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 09:49 PM by sam11111
The Tax Foundation is the erroneous source...a RW source?

I have seen that 94 and indeed 90% all thru most of the 1940's 50's 60's at several sources.
And in DU posts.

Possibly the magazine meant for just ONE million...but we should be looking at the real world.

Good article tho. Thanks Willy! Always a good OP from Willy.

7. Hi Willy! that pictograph is a lot closer to what ive seen than the MJ article
Guess we need an expert to clear this up.

A shame MJ had it so far to the RW's goal...low low low.

10. The Tax Foundation is RW..."tax freedom day"
Edited on Mon Oct-03-11 11:55 PM by sam11111
Mother Jones made a big error in using a RW source...and the graph had a big falsehood in it..... a low top rate ...most helpful to the GOP.

Image attempt now...
This is the true top rate as from Wiki...NOT The Tax Foundation...

Wow I thinK it worked.
