3. I don't always agree with Randi
but I think in this case it was more about whacko political stances than gender.

And we've been through this before on DU, and it was my understanding that posts questioning/attacking gender identity, even someone as despicable as Coulter, were deemed to be unacceptable. There is enough about her and her words and actions, to react to in disgust without lowering ourselves to these types of comments.
100% agreement also about the tendency among some progressives who should know better (and I admit to being one who for many years didn't know better), to speak of ANY type of rape as something to joke about, or as a justified part of being imprisoned etc...

On edit, I do understand that this was just quoting someone else, and was not the OP's statement, but still find it inappropriate on Randi's part, and am not comfortable with what is still, in my view, a gender identity slur as part of a more general, and certainly justified, put down of the utterly sickening Coulter...
