1. I saw Amanda's.
Her Italian has really improved, her's is now better than mine ;(

Amanda sounded pretty believable.

I missed Raffaele's statement.

3. You got the Italian feed? Lucky you!
I had to endure the very loud "acting" of an Italian translator--I think the translation was fairly accurate (based on the syntax) but I would have preferred to hear Ms. Knox give the statement herself.

4. No, I listened on the CNN live stream link
I turned up my TV real loud and I could her Amanda speaking Italian.
I just focused on Amanda and didn't listen to what the lady translator was saying.

5. I was getting it through regional news--no hope of hearing anything
but the overly dramatic translator!

I could probably find the RAI coverage if I bothered to look, but I didn't!

2. I wish I could have heard it in Italian, which I can understand fairly well
though I haven't spoken it in years. I heard the translator, who was overly dramatic--way more dramatic than Ms. Knox appeared to be. It was a decent and coherent summation, though--plainly enough to make the sale.

I didn't hear the lad's statement.

8. Thanks! I don't speak Italian,
but I think Amanda, especially, conveyed so much just in the tone of her voice and in her carriage. I almost preferred to just listen to her speak rather than to hear the translator. Later, I saw a version with subtitles -- much better.

I am still impressed that neither of them turned on the other for a better deal. I think Raffaele, especially, probably could have gotten a great deal from Mignini, if he had offered up the "witch" with a false statement implicating her. But he had the strength of character to resist the temptation. A heroic action in his young life.
