Democratic Party Hear Ye! Hear Year!!
You had better get very busy campaigning
going after disaffected voters. I am talking
about the ONE-HALF of the COUNTRY who DOES
NOT VOTE.

May I respectfully suggest you dallied around
in 2010 and let the TEA PARTIERS take those
Centrist and Blue Dog Seats.

Whether we recognize it or not, there are
groups of Rich Business Men taking over the
elections.

It is understood that the Chamber of Commerce
funded Tea Partiers. THE KOCH BROTHERS who
seem to have money to burn, funded Tea Partiers.
Last night Rachel Maddow had Jane meyers on as
a guest to explain how a Mr. Pope(RICH, Rich, Rich)
actually found and funded enough Arch Conservatives
(Randian?) to totally change the NC Legislature to
Republican. When one man can fund twenty something
campaigns because he believes in a certain ideology,
what kind of Democracy do we have??? Corporatocrisy.

They wiped out these Centrists who sometimes sound
like Moderate Republicans.

I am well aware that you prefer to go for the Upper
Income voter and compete with Republicans. I say
you might be better off going more Democratic and
get out there and go after the other half of the
country. Many of these people are Democrats who
felt left by the side of the road long ago.

These very Rich Business Men appear to see this
as their time. Voters are the only thing that
can combat Money. Get enough voters out and
all the money in the world will not help them.

Just some thoughts from a concerned Democrat.

1. At times, it appears as if the Democratic Party is in line with the GOP
the way they try to force Progressive and Liberals to the right every chance they get!

Now these people are in power, they suddenly feel no affiliation and affinity with the rest of us, but as long as the Constitution is the law of the land, they'll need VOTES to keep their seats. And votes come from us.

If the Democratic Party would finally act like the Democratic Party, they might get the rest of the voting public to support them. Equality for all is the Democratic platform. What hardworking American would be against that?

Sometimes I wish (and it's a totally undemocratic wish!) that President Obama would declare Martial Law and stop this bullshit in Congress. I know it would never, EVER happen, but sometimes...

And for clarity's sake...I'm a concerned Democrat, too, OHDem10.

2. Why would Obama even think of doing that?
Its a great 8 year gig, where you schmooze and appease the "job creators" in the Wall Street Casinos. You only get 4 years if you rattle the cage too much (see Carter, Jimmy). If you can manage to fool your base into handing you this gig, your family will be well taken care of for the rest of your life depending on how much public ownership you dismantle and transfer to private hands.

I think Barack and Michelle are doing everything they can to stay the course of that gravy train. He won't do anything to disrupt the train schedule.
