2. Government fears the wrong people. Politicians need to fear US.

Yes, fear. No, not talking about violence. There's a lot of space between silent acquiesence and bloodshed.

More of us need to occupy that space and remind our leadership that pleasing monied interests at the expense of, say, all the people who live in the country, is a bad idea.

They need to worry less about who's going to get the big checks from ALEC members and think a little more about what's going to happen outside their window if we keep taking from poor to give to the rich.
