I asked my God why the money changers have been allowed to take over the temple once more
and he remained silent.

1. You asked the wrong God, money talks and it says "In God we Trust."
Thanks for the thread, DainBramaged.

5. He answered...
"And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a poor, sick and/or disabled man, woman or child to enter into the kingdom of God."

10. Everyone knows Jesus is a Capitalist........
When he said no rich man could ever enter Heaven, he was only joking......In reality he meant the poor should be heaped with scorn and sent to Hell for eternity...When he said turn the other cheek, he actually meant pull out an uzi and splatter some brains about... Were you taught differently?

12. wrong question--you ask God for guidance, for a sign
of what you must do. I think we've had signs thrown at us for years. And our leaders are ignoring them
and following their own self aggrandizing path

15. You have the right to remain silent.
Anything you say can and will be used against you. Seriously, he/she/it didn't answer cuz he/she/it got cuffed at the OWS rally!

16. The moneychangers have ALWAYS ruled the Temple.
As soon as Jesus left (i.e., after they crucified him), they set the tables back up and have been there ever since. God, while not amused, was powerless to do anything about it.

18. There is no bigger scam then convincing people to shell out $ for absolutely zilch
sell 'em empty air and a load of blarney, with a side helping of stuff they've already got.

If you can convince them to feel guilty about absolutely natural urges
(like, ah, their sex drive?) and keep 'em coming back, wallet in hand, looking for 'forgiveness', even better!

'Moneychangers in the temple' ...the moneychangers ARE the temple.

20. If God created everything, why does He/She need my money?
Or to borrow a line from Star Trek, "What does God need with a starship?"

very apt comparison! Why do states have to pay an interest on the money they print?

22. You know, whenever I hear a 'thug whining that people should "pay their bills"
I remind them of Deuteronomy 15:1 "At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD's release"

There are a dozen other references in the Bible to releasing people from their debts as well. Technically, debt servitude is anti-Christian, and the banks are operating in violation of God's laws. Those who advocate against debt forgiveness are advocating against God's own plainly spoken laws. If you're arguing against God's laws, who are you arguing for?

It's pretty entertaining watching their heads explode as the try to come up with excuses why it "no longer applies".
