Hank William Jr is America's asshole brother-in-law.
Of all Obama's accomplishments, having that terrible song removed from Monday Night Football is something to be happy about. Hey HWJr. brush up on some history: http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-hitler.htm

2. Sorry, but no. He is not like anyone in my family at all.
I do not enjoy casting endearing names around bigots like 'Uncle Pat' Buchanan. Again, my Uncles were not like that. At all.

5. He's THAT guy that comes over and argues loudly using non-facts and paranoia.
I don't have one of those in my family either, but they're out there, ruining Thanksgivings across America.

3. Hitler socialist!!!!!
Edited on Tue Oct-04-11 03:32 PM by kwolf68
That is such a tired and ignorant meme used by the right.

So WHO opposed Hitler the most?

Socialists! Commies! and Trade Unions!

In fact, between 1928 and 1932 membership in far-left groups increased in Germany, as RESPONSE to Hitler.

If Hitler was a socialist, then how come he didn't just join the Socialist party? Further, Hitler would eventually ban all left-wing political parties.

He said himself, “The incorporation of the volkisch (Nazi) ideology into a party in the form of NSDAP is the only way to victory" .... meaning that Nazi ideology had to be promoted as some part of a great ideological and even egalitarian agenda. Initially, Hitler did advance some left wing economic ideas...such as the idea of full employment and placed restrictions on profits.

However, the party quickly went from what he initially proclaimed the proper anecdote to the one it eventually became...nationalistic, racist, militaristic, imperialistic, and barbaric.

The facts are clear...Adolf Hitler was a right-wing Nazi.

4. Sorry...
I liked the MNF song.

But, after seeing Hank Williams Jr. speaking the other day, I do agree that he's about the closest thing the US will ever have to an asshole brother-in-law

:7

6. I don't have that much of a problem with the Hitler comparison,
What I object to is him saying the president of the USA is the enemy. I assume that he means he is a Muslim I guess.

13. I didn't either, actually...
because I didn't interpret him as saying that Obama was the same as Hitler.

I took it to mean that the personalities playing golf are so opposite to each other that they could be compared to two other historical personalities (not persons).

In any event, he sounded like he had been drinking, and when he compared Obama and Biden with the Three Stooges...well...I just cracked up.

Made me wonder if he could count past two... :+

7. In my case, I had an uncle like him.
Regularly got soused, and got louder and more stupid and opinionated when soused.
Once said "Hitler had the right idea about Jews."
I told him (I was 20 at the time) to go to hell.

Even when he died, he died on Christmas Eve so we had to go to his funeral on Christmas day.

8. Worthless drunk and a no talent hack
anything he ever did that might have sorta sounded good was the work of studio musicians, engineers and producers. I hope he just quietly fades away now :grr:
