Update Occupy Boston 10-4, pics after large T'Storm early this morning...

Like the trenches of WWI

The first two I met about 6:30 this morning

Mud Cocoon

Rules for The Sacred Space

The Sacred Space unoccupied

The Sacred Space Occupied w/Meditator

Logistics Crew

Medic Tent

Sign Storage

Discussing the T'Storm from just an hour before

Occupier squeezing out blanket over Tea Roses

Nerve Center, w/Mail and Emergency Contacts as well as literature

Kitchen Tent, (donuts and coffee/tea, fruits were being served at this point)

Pissed off CitiCorp VP

Unhappycamper and our newest Vets for Peace member (she's an Iraq vet, Engineers), she's a Harvard student from WI

Sign on tent

Iraq Vets Against The War

All things considered, although wet, sloppy and chilly today; spirits were high. I didn't hear any complaints from either the people I spoke to and Boston PD officers around the encampment, (I saw only 4 officers and a Lt today). Some 20-30 pizzas were donated bu SEIU last night, delivered right to the encampment!..:D

I gave them the latest news and how things were out here and how the local media is covering this, (poorly).

GO BOSTON and EVERYWHERE ELSE...Take back America! :woohoo:

5. They still showed up, even in the rain?
Don't they know the Code of the Patriot, as articulated by the Tea Baggers? "If the weather turns sour, you won't see our glower." Also, these people seem to be having far too much fun freedom fightin'. It's like they listened to Molly Ivins or something. I supposed if they want media coverage, they should have the grass roots push of the Koch brothers behind them, like the Tea Baggers did.

15. So far, they are in for the long haul...
although they may move to the Common.

As it stands today, they were good on everything but blankets, but I think some entities are getting some for them.

Let me know when you are coming in, others seem to be showing up for the weekend as well...:hi:

Is there an "Occupy New Hampshire"?

It might be interesting to have one at some location where the presidential candidates regularly appear.

36. Update: There was a March to the statehouse last night...
went well, no arrests that I've heard of. At least 100,000 people have had direct contact/exposure w/Occupy Boston through various ways. The media has been pretty friendly, but gets their facts wrong on occasion, especially with numbers and just what this movement is all about...but in quite a few instances, they've corrected said errors.

They will ask the city today for port-a-potties, no idea how the city will react to the request. Seems to me to be the logical thing to ask for and for sanitary reasons I think the city should reply. As of this morning, the city has been excellent toward the Occupy Boston movement.

The movement is spreading nationwide. Maine has plans to start on Thursday, Albuquerque NM has an Occupy Albuquerque group in place, as well as Omaha and numerous other cities I've heard rumors of, but no confirmation.

I'll be going back down today in the AM, then have a VA appointment at Noon...:hi:

Thank you for sharing. It was nice to see a picture of Unhappy Camper. I met him years ago at a war protest in Kennebunkport, Maine when dumbass (then prez) was visiting his mommy and poppy at their "summer home."

They are just to stupid to realize their needs are not going to be met by the corporations, lobbyists and the monied elite.

46. One of the areas of discussion was a Constitutional Amendment to
discuss ending corporate personhood, and the Teabaggers supported this at Harvard during a seminar consisting of various groups from all of the sides of the issue. However, recently the head Teabagger has been running around condemning the Occupy movement.

I don't think Teabaggers have any clout anymore, they are seen as a joke. They would be welcomed if they show up, a few Ron Paul people were there yesterday and the political spectrum is pretty well represented. After all, this is 99% of the people, and most, (if not all), Teabaggers fit that category...I see no reason why they would not come down.
