Tweey's Chris Christie segment was an outrage! |
|
He and John Heileman and another media stuffed shirt were discussing Christie's problem with women and kind of reveling in the fact that "the guys" like Christie. Tweety compared him to Jackie Gleason in "The Hustler", but wasn't he REALLY meaning Gleason's Ralph Cramden in the Honeymooners, where he raises his fist and threatens to send his wife "to the moon"?
Tweety actually said Christie appealed to men because they didn't like their wives "telling them what to do"! And the other guys chortled. Then Tweety said "Not our wives, of course. They're all sweet and adorable."
Good god!

1. I thought he said the women didn't like him because of his |
|
views on education/teachers. Then he got carried away, as he is wont to do. :7

2. Matthews is an old guard working class Irish Catholic. |

Recall his vitriol against Hillary Clinton. Matthews was raised in an environment where men ruled the roost and women knew "their place". Remember that Matthews goes weak for "strong, brash, conservative men"(i.e draft dodger/chickenhawk Bush in the flight suit in 2003).

10. I would bet that when the lovely Kathleen speaks in "that tone" that |
|
many of we women possess, he stands at attention. Irish guys are like that. You'll never hear it from him but I would imagine Kathleen rules his roost....

all "towel snappy" over Bush's Mission Accomplished antics. Towel snappy? I just think he wants to see Bush naked in the shower. Tweety is a piece of work.

6. geez, the guy needs to get over it! Christie is a mean guy who has a problem. |
|
He's fat, he knows he's fat and he hates being fat. It's making him an old, nasty guy (who I have no doubt would take it out on women if he could). There are plenty of people who have his weight issues who are lovely people. But he's bent. I cannot stand him, or anyone who has a man crush or whatever on him.

7. You have to step back to see the MSNBC larger picture... |
|
Bill Bennett was all over MSNBC this morning talking about his new book -- a book about how being "manly." How women have it so good now and that men need to man-up. Now this. It's just a meme, nothing more. An attempt to change the dialogue. It's pure, 100% marketing bullshit.

9. K&R #2, Tweety has always had a problem with women |
|
He's basically as he called his parents, "cloth coat Re(thugs)." When he used to have his wife guest in a blue moon, he and BARNICLE would act like schoolbrats, giggling and mocking while she was trying to talk seriously.
When he "danced" with Ellen, he GRABBED her and shook her around, like a physical attack. Since he's rarely shown in full height, it's not readily noticeable that he is really big, and he towered over Jon STEWART and tried to intimidate Jon like a bully.
