Scott Walker wants to strenghten OWI/DWI in Wisconsin via "proposals to close pseudoephedrine loopholes" I'm not even sure what that means, but I'm assuming those of you with allergy problems do... However if any of you take that drug and drive and are pulled over you most likely will be considered under the influence... Under the understanding that "any amount of that drug is impairing"... That statement is from Wisconsin's police lab expert...

2. Bottom of the page, last couple paragraphs.
And it's a pointless law... Psudoephidrine can be used to prepare the base for crank, speed. But for that to prevent us from taking Sudafed is just stupid.

I'm very concerned that the later in your comment might be the intent of this bill.... Our legislature is jacked up on Koch...

3. It looks like 2 different issues in the article.
Closing pseudoephedrine loopholes and strengthening drunk driving laws.

6. Isn't pseudoephedrine a stimulant?
Wouldn't it increase your alertness, thus potentially improving your driving?

8. True... But then you have to be aware of how the police are being trained...
The Crime of "Drugged" Driving -"In fact, in the DRE (drug recognition expert) training program, law enforcement officers are taught using this working definition of a drug: Any substance, which when taken into the human body, can impair the ability of the person to operate a vehicle safely." This is from Michigan law... and Alec has written much of their legislation...http://www.mi-dui-central.com/content/mi_dui_guide.php

Knowing that this is their Idea of being drugged "any substance" I wonder if or what loopholes might they be discussing... Also might their be a connection to new OWI/DWI legislation similar to Michigans...
