Immagine the Government subsidizing the price of a computer so that it was affordable for just about all school children. What would that do for education in the country?

Oh, I didn't say 'our' country.

3. Yikes! Socialism, fascism, class warfare! Run for your lives!
But remember your financial passwords and Swiss bank-account numbers. ;-)

4. I like it. After we feed, house, clothe, and ensure healthcare for all of them.
The number of homeless children in the US is staggering. Those without 3 good meals a day is worse. We theoretically provide government health insurance for needy kids, but we don't ensure access to the healthcare itself.

5. Yeah all kinds have healthcare coming to them, but if there is no responsible adult to take them
If there is no responsible and informed adult that can take them, knows where to take them, knows how to get them into healthcare or nutrition programs then the service may as well not exist. And of course in the model of Reagan we've now got Republican Governors all over the nation trying to take even more from the welfare systems to divert to their own devilish desires.
