Bill 1619: Stop Chinese Manipulation of Currency & 25% Bonus for Their Goods Coming into the US!
Just heard Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley who were on CSPAN discussing the paper industry in their States that have been decimated and closed because of the 25% bonus given to the Chinese to bring their paper products into the United States! The two Senators also discussed how the Chinese are manipulating their savings accounts to give their manufactures extremely low interest loans to start up their businesses. This is more then disgusting!

Here is an article on how this practice has cost 8,200 jobs lost just in West Virginia and 2.8 Million in the entire United States:

Senate Amendment 1619 aims to punish China for manipulating its currency and would impose tariffs on imports that benefit from foreign government subsidies

...According to the Alliance for American Manufacturing, 8,200 jobs have been lost in West Virginia because of the growing trade gap with China. In 2010, nearly 50,000 West Virginia jobs were related to manufacturing, which equals 6.6 percent of the state’s workforce. In 2009, manufacturing made up 9 percent of the state’s economy.

In addition, the trade deficit has grown from $83 billion in 2001 to $273 billion in 2010. According to the Economic Policy Institute, 2.8 million American jobs were displaced because of this growing trade deficit.

Thanks for those supporting this bill! It is TIME to take our country back!

3. Paper industry isn't the only one.
We need to start making things ourselves, and quit importing crap from elsewhere.

4. Just heard from the President today that the Chinese actually give low interests loans to U.S.
companies, like those in solar and other cutting edge manufacturing to go to China and stop the very growth industries that we need here also! Wow!
