A Unified Message for OWS -- as in "Wall St."
I think all of these things are on topic, they would attract the larger share of citizenry, they're sensible -- without walking into commie-bating stuff on the right -- and they target Wall Street. I think the long laundry list of every liberal cause (animal rights, prescription drugs, etc.) and the march toward an authoritarian leftist government or anarchy or whatever, throws the whole thing into ridicule camp. The only other major demands I would like to see would be a single-payer health care system and the nationalization of U.S. energy resources -- but I think those are off topic.

1. An end to corporate personhood.
2. An end to unlimited campaign contributions by corporations.
3. An end to corporate bailouts/corporate welfare.
4. U.S. Attorney to investigate all financial companies (i.e. Goldman Sachs) for fraud and have trials.
5. An increase in taxes on the wealthiest 1 percent.
6. Sensible regulations that keep mortgage swaps, shorting, hedging, etc. from being able to do any damage to our overall economy.

Why can't it be that focused?

5. Start with the chairman of Goldman Sachs. Cuffed, stuffed and
behind bars getting it's ass pounded every night! That should make it pretty clear what we want!

9. Because it's much too organic to have a coherent message as yet.
It is moving in the right direction, have a little more patience. I suspect by next week there will be some of these focal points.

10. You already got your wish for #2, at least for Federal elections.
It is illegal for corporations to make contributions to campaigns or political parties, and this ban was not addressed by the "Citizens United" case.
