Does anyone else see a link between the increase in gas prices and the new Rethug Congress? |
|
Seems like it happens every time... get a Rethug dominated government, get a spike in gas prices. The oil companies know they have a free reign when Rethugs come into government.
Even the most economically unsophisticated people (such as myself) realize this...

have risen .5% (or more) since the election. And food prices are going up. Probably also tied to the fuel price increases at least partially.
Food and fuel are the two things that hit the middle and working class hardest taking a bigger percentage of the budget.

When democrats took control of Congress in 2006 oil was ~$60 per barrel. Over next two years it climbed to $147 per barrel.
