Update: Occupy Boston pics 10-6
Today, on several occasions, I went to Dewey Square to see what's going on. On the Southern corner, 12 new tents went up on the granite blocks.
Yesterday, Cornell West of Princeton, as well as nurses and students showed up. The AFL-CIO have given us their blessing and SEIU has donated quite a few items. About 30 new people have shown up as Occupants, morale is high, food is coming in and there are actions coming up tomorrow and this weekend. Yesterday, the students, (who walked out of class to join Occupy Boston), and the BPD had a slight interaction when the students blocked traffic for about 15 minutes. After some brief deliberations, the BPD backed off and the students left the street, no arrests were made, everything is peaceful.

Tomorrow I will be heading down there early to volunteer in the Media tent, conflict resolution, poli-sci advisor and anything else I can do to help the cause.

Occupy everywhere! We want OUR country back...

With that said, here's some new pics:

Have a great evening! I'm heading out in the early AM to help as above. Please...Support your local Occupiers!!!..:woohoo:

8. Update: Occupy Boston has begun classes in poli-sci, as well as...
how to be effective while demonstrating and understanding just what brought us to this point.

Food has been coming in and morale is still high.

It's been pretty chilly the last few nights, but a warm spell appears to be coming for the weekend and a little beyond, which will be very welcome.

I'm going in early this morning to volunteer at the media tent, poli-sci adviser and conflict resolution.

Anyone in this area, we're in for the long haul, so come on down! Hoping to get a march on the agenda to the Boston Stock Exchange for Monday during lunch or at rush hour to be effective.

10. It's great to be involved w/these people...
this is real, and the
Overheard some cops talking, one saying to the other,

Cop #1: "this could be us if things get any worse."

Cop #2: "they always need us."

Cop #1: "until it comes to money that won't be there, think about that."

So far, things have been amiable w/the BPD. I get the impression they don't want to fall into the trap the NYPD did and escalate this into a situation that will actually make it grow and become hostile. Every time the NYPD screws up, more people show up here at Occupy Boston...and from what I can glean from other reports, most other Occupy sites as well...Thanks NYPD!

14. Question about supplies
I'm planning on donating some of the things they are requesting this weekend. In Dewey Square, can they cook or heat water? If so I was thinking about giving them some coffee too.

15. I think they can heat water; not sure about cooking.
When were you planning on going down? How about a Boston DU meetup in Dewey Square?
