I think the SC is going to uphold the individual mandate....
and here's why:

http://www.c-span.org/Events/Supreme-Court-Justices-Take-a-Seat-at-the-Witness-Table/10737424545/

at time index appx. 17 minutes, there is a discussion happening, and what Breyer says is very interesting,(and Breyer is the "swing vote" right?) and Scalia SEEMS to agree...not that I trust him all that much...but still, if you read between the lines, you can kinda sense it from what Breyer is saying...

this whole thing also strikes me as kind of a rare event, for anyone interested in the Court, this is a really fun video.

Peace,

why are you saying Breyer is the 'swing vote'?
I'm not clear on that. Breyer was appointed by a dem president - Clinton.

Usually, Justice Kennedy is considered to be the 'swing vote' in most instances since he is the one that sometimes votes 'with' the liberal on the court.

p.s. Not criticizing, just trying to figure out what's going on ;)

Edited to add: Okay, NEVER-MIND. I just seen your comment #3.

6. I do, too.
They would never stand between their corporate buddies and a cash cow.

7. ALL DUers SHOULD LISTEN TO THIS!
(No opinion on mandate; my thought on DUers and everyone learning something about how Supremes do their jobs.)
