Sounds like a pretty civilized police response in Houston. The tie is very nice especially since it made reporters view you as a credible spokesperson. Thanks for going and speaking out.

8. I knew I would wind up on camera |
|
and so when I did I made a point of saying, "I am a small businessman, I pay taxes at the highest rate, and I stand in solidarity with the 99% today so that those who would criticize them as 'dirty hippies' can be exposed as liars." But those remarks didn't survive the video edits.

I've been updating occasionally with what I find in the press, but I love the personal impressions. It's especially nice to have solidarity with a small business owner, I know this economy has been rough for many.

15. It hasn't been as tough on me as it has for others |
|
but I'm a type 2 diabetic who only has insurance coverage through my wife's job, and that means we're just one step away from ... you know. I'm a financial advisor (not a stockbroker) and my health often prohibits me from getting to as many clients as I wish. I mention my occupation as relevant from the standpoint of my supporting the financial transactions tax: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/02/opinion/sunday/kristof-the-bankers-and-the-revolutionaries.html

Indeed we do. How would it be best to organize one? In the Texas forum? My experience is that there are many Houston DUers who never look in there.
