scholarly look at the power of mass media
I am currently taking a "Mass Communication" class... really no new information; but to underscore (numerous times) go to Google Scholar and look at all the academic studies on mass communication/mass media...

typical from "...not merely holding a mirror up to reality...it is, at least in part, composing reality..."

too many gatekeepers in the 'flow' of information...
