The must be some problems in the military procurement process. (Color me surprised. Not.) The Navy Times published this article three days ago: Tell us: Are your shoes falling apart?.

Evidently durability problems and soles falling off brown dress shoes are common problems currently experienced by folks using Bates Shoes supplied to the US Navy.

If you fuckers can't buy good quality dress shoes, how the fuck can we expect your weapons purchases to be any better?

4. If you read the comments it seems Bates moved production recently to China.

Some folks they lasted five years, which isn't bad, but others say they disintegrated immediately and blame it on Bates moving production to China. They also complain about the high cost and say they are very uncomfortable.

High cost, produced in China in a shoddy fashion, I guess that means big profits for someone.
