Nicole Wallace wants to know where OCW protesters are going to the bathroom?!?! |
|
What a frootloop she is. She was on Bill Maher. He brought up the protests and her first concern is where are these protesters going to the bathroom.
Good grief.
So Nicole, let's continue to let the Wall Street banks rip us off , forget about taxing the rich, creating jobs, repairing the damage to the middle class - because going to the bathroom is so much more important.

10. Bathrooms Have Become An Issue... |
|
A friend was at the protests all day Thursday and finding a clean john has become a major topic/issue. TDS took a shot at it the other day...many businesses won't let people use the john unless they buy something. As the crowds get larger the problems of sanitation will grow larger as well. You can't force someone to open their potty. My friend admitted that he took a hike down to Fort Clinton and relieved himself in the Hudson when no one was watching.

that as someone with bladder and intestinal issues, I have been wondering the same thing.
Sorry, but bathrooms are my life, and I'm obsessed with knowing where they are at all times.
Does that make me a frootloop too?
Maybe Ms Wallace has similar issues she doesn't speak of.
Nice that people judge without knowing what someone else's issues may or may not be.

22. You aren't a political strategist - she is |
|
My point is that I found it odd this was the first thing she said. She didn't address the OSW grievances, speakers or talking points. She instead laughed and brought up bathrooms. She's trying to trivialize the issue.

26. Nothing trivial about it |
|
when sanitation and the possibility for disease are an issue.
People go out there and protest with no thought as to how this sort of thing will be dealt with. Sanitation. Hygiene. The spread of disease. Trash.
Are people volunteering their time to do all the cleanup, or will taxpayers be saddled with the cost?
But heaven forbid anyone should ask questions...
And for all anyone here knows, she COULD have similar issues which would prompt her to ask the question in the first place.

This is just her way of discrediting the entire movement. Sure this is a concern but the FIRST thing she thinks about? No way. She wants us to focus on bathrooms instead of holding Wall Street accountable.

27. And when you're a Democrat and concerned about the welfare of others... |
|
one of the things that crosses your mind is how the sanitation (or lack of it) will affect your fellow protesters and otherwise innocent people who may have to travel through whatever miasma might be building up, or having trash and other things hurled into available waterways.
Instead of mocking someone for asking the question.
But whatever.

28. Same thing mentioned in NYT this morning |
|
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/08/nyregion/occupy-wall-street-begins-to-chafe-its-neighbors.html?pagewanted=allMany local businesses being forced to close their bathrooms because they're being trashed/don't have the staff to clean it after every use. If this continues to spread, it just gives the police more ammo to crack down. Its far from trivial. Its a serious health concern. What would it take to organize a few sets of port-o-potties?
