Anybody out there know how to figure out who's REALLY posting thru Disqus?

I just posted some comments on a Mediaite thread on Bill Maher's crap coverage of OWS, and Alan Grayson's EXCELLENT responses, which garnered him a standing O from the studio audience. I think I came up with a really good response to some of the trolls lurking there, pointing out that they are after all representing the 1% to our 99%. But a couple of things happened that bothered me: One, one of my posts in response to a really surly Tweedle-Dee named Yoda003, failed to land where it shoulda, instead dropping to the bottom of the page, so I had to re-edit the post to reify who it was directed at.

Secondly, and much more importantly, within 5 minutes of posting, someone had somehow HIJACKED the name I post under on Disqus, which is tomwaitsfornorman

I don't know how they could do that, but they immediately started posting vile, anti-liberal stuff under MY NAME!!

If anyone can help, please let me know!

Oh, and be prepared; there's a particularly nasty character on there by the name of Nancillarypeloslinton that you may want to avoid entirely if you don't want someone throwing their feces at you directly!

change your password immediately. Make it something hard to guess.

I mean, they've already got my name; I'm still able to post under it, but so are they!

I did write disqus and told them the scoop; waiting to hear back.

If others here don't see the relevant stuff, you've gotta hit "load more comments" at the bottom of the thread to get to the meat of the matter.

But it really bothers me, that someone could do this so easily, apparently... not sure if I'm gonna keep my disqus account for very long now.

6. I hate to sound like a moran, but does anyone have a link to a good Disqus overview? I've seen it..

but never really explored it. I'm a little too much "boomer" to catch on quickly to social media, but I am teachable. And don't know much about Disqus.

And yes, I'm feeling lazy right now, I know I can Google, but it sounds like you know what you're talking about, and can probably cut through the 10K irrelevant links, and give me 2 or 3 good ones.
