Shame on NYPD, God bless APD
The Austin police department has been incredibly helpful and even supportive. We've had officers engage in dialogue, give thumbs ups, peace signs, and even honks in support. We technically are not allowed to sleep at City Hall, but they have definately turned a blind eye. Thank you officers! They even let us keep one tent up as a symbol.

2. That sounds a lot like the Madison experience.
These guys have had some time to think over where their interests lie.

3. Austin's muni gov't is progressive. NYC's is not.
Believe me.... there would be repercussions for NYC cops if they showed sympathy to the OWSers.

5. Don't worry in a few years Oliver Stone will make a movie
and the Austin Police department will be the bad guys during the Occupy Austin segment.

Look what he did to the Syracuse Police department in Born on the 4th of July.

"In 1970, when Vietnam War opponents, after protesting at Syracuse University, wanted to march through the city's streets, Chief Sardino gave his approval. But he stipulated that the march had to be well behaved -- and be led by him."

7. K & R!
Hopefully Dallas cops'll be at least half as accommodating. :)
