One major beneficial outcome so far of OWS has been ... |
|
..that is has forced members of the media and government to bare their stripes on the issue of the monied power structure in this country, and which side they stand on. Are they with the People, or are they with the monied Elite.
You are really seeing some amazingly clear lines being drawn by the likes of Cantor, Cain, Romney, the spokes holes at Faux etc.
It's amazing to see the lengths they go to avoid talking to the specific issue the OWS movement is addressing.
I think the American people are going to continue to see this and like they did with the Tea Party movement, and teh GOPs wholesale kissing up to same, they will get a front row seat to the unraveling of the American dream and be able to see exactly who is behind it (as it relates to our media and politicians). The real people behind it will not come forward and engage in a debate with the American people of course.
But in the end the real negative impact it likely to be felt by the GOP. What do they stand for now? The GOP doe not stand for American jobs, not for Unions or working class Americans, not for Teachers, First Responders, and certainly not for Government For Of and By the People.

I love it. I had to think about it before I realized it had nothing to do with bicycle spokes.

2. Well-said, well-seen. Repubs are indeed like sitting ducks these days. |

3. I hope it's ok for me to repl my own post re: remarks etc we are seeing from the right about OWS |
|
about OWS... Here is Peter King...a true believer in the American middle class.. Rep. Peter King (R-NY), the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, blasted the media for providing fair coverage to the Occupy Wall Street protests. “They have no sense of purpose other than a basically anti-American tone,” he said. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2086602

the ones who are staying deafeningly silent until they know which way the wind blows. Sorry to say, the Democrats are fitting into this category. The most so-called liberal ones, say Boxer, haven't even said anything about OWS which tells me they've been told by their masters to keep silent. Very disturbing.
On edit: Gooder grammar.
