Wisconsin churches prepare for new conceal carry law |
|
http://www.nbc26.com/news/local/131425833.htmlWith Wisconsin's concealed carry law set to take effect on November first many churches are debating how to deal with the issue.
"What does this law mean, what does our faith teach us about violence, weapons and do we want such weapons on our church property," says Scott Anderson, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Council of Churches.
Reverend Mize says for his congregation the decision was an easy one and they plan to use it as an opportunity.
"There are some wonderful creative signs. perfect love casts out fear, no guns here, so we're working on it, but it is our intent to say to folks this is not a place to bring your guns."

In every state in the country that allows concealed carry--48 of them besides Wisconsin--a venue has the option to refuse to allow concealed weapons.

businesses and such have no right to ban guns if the state permits them. Or worse yet, that said businesses should be harrassed out of business if they do so.

3. How about sacred Kevlar Helmets and "Coat of Many Colors" body armor? |
|
Telling people not to bring their guns to church with rhymes is cute, but it won't work.
They'll bring their guns in and just not mention it.

5. Much ado about nothing - |
|
- the majority of states have concealed carry and its not an issue. I attend church in a conceal carry state and there's never been a problem. Anyone of such mind to bring a weapon into a church doesn't need a law to allow them to do it, they sure have the ability to conceal a weapon with or without a permit.

So why worry?
If he's a god, he's got it covered.
If he's not, all bets are off.
