"Joe the Plumber" Runs for Congress

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber," has formed a congressional campaign committee and filed a statement of candicacy, Capital New York reports.

"Wurzelbacher catapulted into the national spotlight in October 2008, when he confronted Barack Obama about the effect of his proposed tax plan on Wurzelbacher's small business. The encounter, during a campaign stop in Ohio, came a few days before the final presidential debate, and the plumber's everyman cause was then picked up by Senator John McCain, and became a big part of the Republican message."

16.  He'd fit right in up on stage at the debates with the rest of the kooks.
In fact, I'm surprised he's not running for president.

3. Time to beef-up the campaign finance auditing procedures...
Running for office, these days, it becoming an occupation of sorts. You can't tell me all the donations go for posters, travel and advertising.

5. He'd be a millionaire if it wasn't for Obama.
There's a campaign platform for ya.

He claims to be smart enough to know he wouldn't want to own a multi million dollar company if there was a chance he'd have to pay an extra 3% in taxes. Of course his fears were soon unfounded, but like all good Republicans who suffer from chronic irony, he would rather be living in an apartment on unemployment and food stamps if he had to pay a small percentage to support people who chose not to work.

It doesn't surprise me this idiot wants to cash in on an easy gig. What really shocks me is that there will be people at his rally cheering him on. Someone should keep an eye on those people.
