UNDERSTANDING REPUBLICANS A Public Service Announcement |
|
:smoke: " The Republican Party of today is certainly not the party of Lincoln or Eisenhower or even for that matter the party of Ronald Reagan. Trying to figure out just what the contemporary Republican, who seems to be represented by Tea Partisans, really believes is difficult. Weve been tracking TV news and have assembled a list of the positions promoted by the Republican Party. All of the following have been advanced by Republican presidential candidates or their supporters in public meetings:
The uninsured should die
Dont let a little thing like evidence get in the way of a hanging
Social Security is a scam (Rick Perry)
End all taxes (Michelle Bachmann)
War, war and more war
Drill baby drill
Put women back in the kitchen
Soldiers in combat fighting for America should be booed, if theyre gay
Pray the gay away (Bachmanns)
We love little babies before theyre born but after, let em starve
Want science? Just read the Bible
Global warming is a money-making plot (Rick Perry)
Close down the Government
Government employees should be fired (remember those 9-11 heroes?)
9-11 families are whiners (Glenn Beck is the source of this one)
Rich people, like Paris Hilton, are job creators
Corporations have the Constitutional Right to buy elections (Supreme Court says so)
Taxpayer money should not be used to help regular people but should be given to enrich politicians (Rick Perry)

Letting Republicans run the government is like putting Atheists in charge of a church. They don't believe in it, don't care if it works - and they take no responsibility for the results.

3. In all human history no political organization has been as detrimental to national interests. |
|
That includes ancient Rome which set the standard and European history in the 19th and 20th century which topped off human excesses. The only milestone missed by the Republican party is widespread systematic genocide I am sure the desire grows in the Republican psyche.

4. I think the problem with Republicans is they can NEVER admit the truth. |
|
To admit the truth.. means they would have to admit that they made a mistake.. lots of mistakes. And a Republican mind is incapable of doing that.
Just like the horrible anti-immigration bill recently passed in Alabama... crops are rotting in the field.
So, Gov Robert Bentley was on CNN.. and he said (paraphrase), "We admit that this bill is awful and it is hurting our farmers.. but, after all, it is a law ..and we will stick to it."
Brilliant Gov Bentley.. just Brilliant. You just shot yourself in the foot and are hurting millions of people who worked hard to raise those crops.. so what do you do? You re-load and go in for more.
Ah.. the Republican/Christian mind in action.

Some restaurants are closing because they can't get produce at reasonable prices.
