Poll shows Gov. Scott Walker with low favorability ratings and highly vulnerable to recall.
Edited on Mon Oct-10-11 05:35 PM by Ellipsis
The poll shows that independents support the recall of Walker by a margin of 16 points, 52-to-36 percent, and that more than half of all voters, 52 percent, disapprove of Walker's job performance.

"Scott Walker has spent his time in office grabbing political power and catering to corporate interests, not fighting for the middle class," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Monday. "Because of his actions, Scott Walker has rendered himself vulnerable to the one tool left for Wisconsin to hold him accountable-his recall."

Given Wisconsin's virtually unbroken record of electing Democrats in key statewide elections from 2000-
08, and Walker’s poor standing among Independents, there is little question that a recall campaign against
Scott Walker has an excellent chance for success.

1. Let's hope the repubs don't try to steal this vote.

6. No votes were "discovered" here. They were omitted from the totals reported to the media.

There's a difference.

Oh, and the Waukesha County Democrats have assembled a committee. We are committed to observing every election and making sure all bags are secure and totals match.

8. No criminal misconduct found in Nickolaus' actions
The board ordered Nickolaus to follow the law and have procedures in place by the Feb. 21 primary election and subsequent elections "to ensure accountability and transparency in your actions," according to the letter.

It ordered her to post election totals by reporting unit level in future elections instead of just countywide totals, as she did in the April 5 election. Had totals been posted by municipality or reporting unit, the missing Brookfield returns would have been noticed immediately, the GAB said in a staff report that it released on Wednesday.

9. Also, we have observers at all polls now calling totals into boiler room.
Wisdems knows Waukesha precinct numbers before the County gets them now.

4. The R's are doing their damnest to try to steal the election, including...
...giving Walker power to change the rules!

They can't win in a fair fight.

11. There are a few different groups working on it, but United Wisconsin is the biggest.
It will be interesting to see what is decided. There's a strong argument against trying to get 700k signatures over the holidays.
