This tool was on "To the Point" today, claiming that the younger generation all want to be the next dot-com millionaire, and that all his rich friends agree that the "youth today" have no work ethic and an unrealistic sense of entitlement.
Fuck you, Dezenhall, you hack. I'm 52 years old, and have hired, fired, supervised and mentored many young people. They work far harder than their older counterparts, without their older counterpart's security - as in health insurance, pensions, etc.
These kids work for poverty wages, courtesy of corporations who view them as expendable "things." These kids have far, far less than my parents' generations. So if they want health care, decent wages and some sort of job security - things their grandparents had for godsakes - they're unrealistic and demanding?
Eric Dezenhall is disparaging young people in this country and blaming them for the economic environment.
Kiss my ass, Dezenhall. You're an idiot.

5. "Why, why, they want BENEFITS?" |

"How DARE those little whippersnappers want a decent life! They should be willing to work for years and years in poverty! Go America!"
He's trying to pit older workers against younger workers, claiming the older workers toiled for years to have what they had.
But even a dozen years ago, I could find a job with health insurance, a 401K plan, vacation and sick days. Now, since those things are non-existent in most jobs out there, kids are just spoiled because THEY want jobs with these benefits? :wtf:
Dezenhall needs a good (virtual) ass whoopin' indeed. ;)

3. Older generation always say the younger generation is lazy, stupid, oversexed |
|
and when the youngsters become oldsters they say it about the group coming up. My parents friends used to pisss and moan about that. Now when I hear my friends say something like that I say "you sound like your dad."

I've been sitting here wondering if his "friends" who are all complaining about the "kids" aren't talking about the trust fund set, the sons and daughters of the very wealthy.
Perhaps Dezenhall and his friends are seeking to hire these types (since they're the only kids able to easily afford their degrees) and he is lumping these spoiled brats in with the rest of the younger generation.
If so, he's still an idiot, one who can't see the forest for the trees.
