Anger from a winner of a high-tech-tablet

I have a new job at a call center for a major tech company. Of the hundreds of customer service calls I have received, only one customer stands out as a horrible person, and that is a woman who just WON an expensive, tech gadget.

She won a big name tablet. Nothing was wrong with her order. 95% of other people are pleasant, sometimes even when we screw up. In this case we did NOT screw up, at all. She got her tablet for free! SHE WON! (from a third party, so who knows, maybe it was a lobbyist firm)

And yet, she was one of the nastiest, most unpleasant customers ever. For what?! She was making demands about switching delivery carriers, which we are unable to do, and insulting me at every turn.

This is a University Professor at George Washington University in District of Columbia. Good grief, what a horrible woman! I feel bad for her students, and any underlings she meets, if she treats others the way she treated me.

8. DUers have been fired from jobs in the past because of others

on other sites who tracked down the particulars and contacted people. I recall a DJ who posted about the music he played when Reagan died.

There are ugly people who come to read here sometimes.

3. Unless you actually post the person's name, you probably WOULDN'T get in trouble

Identifying the person simply as a professor at a university isn't enough for this story to be considered slanderous.

but she isn’t alone. I work with a woman that complained bitterly about a $64 a month raise

7. I would dearly LOVE to be able to afford one of those tablets for my wife

who suffers from severe fibromyalgia, and cannot sit in a chair for very long, in order to use our desktop computer. Our one and only ancient laptop bit the dust for good last year, and it got to the point where the hard drive died, and I was down to only being able to use a live Linux CD in order to browse the internet with it.

Then there are people like that professor, who probably could easily afford a dozen tablets, yet she complains about the delivery carrier?!?

Bah...as the old saying goes, life sure ain't fair!!
