I didn't know there were so many people who get it. I can't be blamed, because where I work and
live, people are either apathetic, right-wing, ignorant, or all of the above. I am so pleased to see that is not the case in the rest of the country. I was under the impression that, while DU folks know what time it is, most of the U.S. citizens were like the people around me. I am not only pleased, I am amazed. Cheerily flabbergasted.

3. You'd be surprised how many of the People around you agree with you....
... but are unwilling to speak up in a hostile environment. There's another group who agree with you and just don't know it.

4. One thing that is very clear when you look at a map of the protests
is that there are a lot of people who get it all over the country. Just not in DC.

6. Orange County, CA?
... yes, DisneyNixonReaganJohnWayneAirportLand.

At best I get glares/eye rolls. I know what the worst is. Don't need it. Trying to get it together so I can join SD or LA.

So many people are so beat down/depressed. All I hear is that "nothing's going to change"; "it's been this f'd up for thousands of years".

Active sabotage/hijacking of conversations related to OWS; "Oh look at the sunset!".

I do what I can: I share lots of articles on Facebook to virtually zero response. I read more than I work, which contributes to my depression because I start feeling like I'm not doing anything productive. I (torrented) and watched "Inside Job" last night (one of the few docs I have missed). I have virtually halted work on my music and my website.

I was contacted on Facebook by a friend from high school whom I have not seen in over 20 years; she read a post of mine and convinced her husband to withdraw all of their money from Chase and put it into a credit union.

PRICELESS!
