Herman Cain lied about his 9-9-9 "economist" - who is really just an accountant
from Cleveland. But if Cain stays up in the polls I am sure he can find someone with a degree in economics from the Club for Growth to rubber stamp his ridiculous plan.

"Lowrie — who’s the only economic adviser Cain has been willing to mention by name — is a wealth manager for a division of Wells Fargo and according to his LinkedIn page holds an accountancy degree from Case Western Reserve University. Lowrie also spent three years on the advisory board of the conservative third-party group Americans For Prosperity."

1. That's just what we need, more tax cuts.
They've worked so well for us so far.

2. Like most items sold by crooked pitchmen
his 999 plan should also be followed by an asterisk.

And like said items, people usually realize they're pieces of shit once they get a better look at the details.

3. 9% sales tax plus 9.75% state sales tax would mean 18.75% sales tax here. And
9% income tax plus 6.2 (normal) tax rate for income up to $106,800 would mean at least 15.2% taxes on income for people who make less than $106,800.

And, the federal sales tax may well be on services which are not currently taxed in our state (TN). And it might be on purchases of a house, for example, as a new category.

So, all in all, it would be an incredible tax increase for people who make less than $106,800 a year.

5. I'd guess Herb's barber is advising him on Foreign Policy.
Herb thinks he can fool everyone with his schtick, but only the Teabaggers are eating up his nonsense.

Everyone else is going, "Wha....?"
