For every one person who goes out and kills someone over violent, apocalyptic, paranoid right-wing rhetoric, probably 100,000 people are convinced that it's a matter of life and death that they donate and get out the vote to keep the evil Communists at bay, 10,000 spend hours a day parroting right-wing talking points on online forums and forwarding emails, 1000 go out and buy a new gun, 100 build a bunker in their basement and fill it with emergency food kits which sponsor right-wing media, 10 run for office and become useful idiots for the lobbyists, and that 1 I mentioned in the subject of this post, makes it dangerous to be a Democrat, and gives the Republicans a second chance after losing an election.

1. And one thing to add... |

A lot of people are saying this guy had a problem and would have been dangerous no matter what, but rather than making him kill, the right-wing rhetoric told him who to kill. That's ridiculous. There's no reason to think he would've just found someone to kill on his own without the paranoia and the authoritative legitimization of the paranoia promoted by right-wing media. Maybe, but much less likely.
