1. That dignifies a catchy slogan, calling it a plan. It's no plan

The numbers were dreamed up by Cain's accountant, not a real economist who knows what he's talking about. They would be inadequate to support the government but would nicely crush what's left of the economy while giving him a nice tax cut, since the bulk is a regressive sales tax.

Part of the plan is also abolishing Medicare and Social Security. One wonders how he's going to cope when both his mother and his mother in law move in with him because they have no other way to survive.

Cain is smart enough to know better. However, he's not a serious candidate. He's only in this to gain name recognition so his book will sell a bit better.
