Seattle's Worst Seafood Restaurant
I'm in Seattle this week, enjoying a vacation that was unexpectedly extended by American Airlines when they cancelled my flight home and re-booked me on a flight 2 hours earlier, which - surprise! - caused me to miss the flight that I didn't know I needed to catch.

So here I am.

While I'm enjoying another fabulous seafood meal prepared by my sister and her husband, I came across a very entertaining article on Bad Seattle Seafood Restaurants. This is a condensed version of the article, followed by some of the comments which took a surprisingly political turn.

Enjoy.

*Seattle's Worst Seafood Restaurant: Ho Ho's*

We would say the name says it all, but the food here is actually worse than the name. Maybe it got lost in translation, along with the quality and freshness? Walk right past this busted joint to someplace that treats its food (and customers) with a little more respect.

Kate: I'm not really sure why Ho Ho is listed as the worst. I've been there more than a few times and the food is always delicious, I don't usually order seafood though.

Moustachu: I talked to a Health Dept official, and he told me, off the record, he would never eat ANYWHERE in Chinatown. Never mind why, but I bet you can guess.

Sloth: Which isn't even to mention that the owner of the place is a wingnut extremist who idolizes hitler and supports the tea party.

BigJohn667: How can anyone both idolize Hitler (extreme left fascist) AND be Tea Party (far right conservative) supporter? They are from two completely opposite ends of the political spectrum! And what does any of this have to do with seafood?

Moustachu: Poor Sloth, He doesn't know his history... Facism is not the TEA PARTY, which by the way is made up of about 35% Moderate Democrats that are FED UP of Progressive TAKE OVER by the current administration with no constitutional guide lines being followed when passing bills with less than the proper quorum for votes in the House and Senate. Now that seems to me a little more like NAZI's than the TEA PARTY which only wants less spending and less TAXATION of the people who ACTUALLY SUPPORT AND MAKE JOBS> I NEVER GOT A JOB FROM A POOR PERSON or COMPANY. If I looked at companies to look at, I would want to support a leader that would carry me on if I did my job and make and be successfuly with them! Hhhmmm? Sounds like common sense to me. Sloth must be one of those SLACKERS that we give OUR hard earned money as taxes to be paid out to those LAZY BASTEREDS we call the SOCIAL JUSTICE CRAZIES who feel they are entiled to OUR MONEY. I worked for it, I get to KEEP IT! THANK you. Salties and Dukes have had great food, especially at South Center Dukes'. I just ate at the GREEN LAKE DUKES and had a great meal.

DaveC: Well said. It's amazing how little people know about politics and history. Most people get their info from TV. It's no wonder that our children in our public scholls don't know where France, Inda etc. are on the Map.

Well said, DaveC. Glad you could set us all straight on that. The entire conversation (to use the word loosely) is here:

1. No, I can't guess why, and I think if the anonymous source has a reason he should state it instead

of casting aspersions on every restaurant in chinatown.

Not so impressed with "health officials" who smear people anonymously but aren't willing to go on record.

Ho Ho Seafood, unless it's seriously gone down hill in the last year, is really good. Great, authentic Chinese food.

The hitler/tea party stuff is funny, although extremely unlikely.

4. I thought Ho Ho's were little round chocolate snack cakes. My Mom loved them.

6. yep ;-)
but the restaurant isn't named "Ho Ho's" - it's Ho Ho Seafood. It's a Chinese Restaurant and it's very good. Everything about that 'review' is out someone's behind.
