#OWS...Something makes me say: HMMMM. HMMMM...

From Keep Keith Olbermann On msnbc on Facebook:

"Mayor Michael Bloomberg visited #OccupyWallStreet today and he wasn't there to join in the festivities or use the people's mic, but to tell the occupants of Liberty Plaza that Brookfield Properties, which owns Zuccotti Park, will be cleaning the park up on Friday."

NOW...These are the same people who purposely led 700 protesters onto a bridge in order to arrest them.
These are the people who have brutalized and brushed off multiple brutalities by Anthony Bologna.
These are the people who said "My little nightstick's going to get a workout tonight."
These are the people who lined up police trucks along the park at night, flashing lights all night long, afaik..
These are the people who time after time unroll netting and "kettle" peaceful protesters, subjecting them to bullshit.

These are the people who have from minute 1 been looking for a reason. They employ brutality with zero accountability. They trick and entrap. They want the protesters gone. The only trick they haven't yet pulled is to say pretty please, we need to clean the park a little for just a minute.

BANG! Out come the nets, bike racks, anything for a blockade, including many, many policemen, who can stay there on shifts to insure no protesters return until their will to rebel is sapped and they all go home. HAHA, sorry, you can't come back and anyone caught loitering will be arrested immediately.

Are you saying HMMMM right now or am I going just a little too far? After what happened in Boston and Albuquerque?

1. The way I read the Brookfield press release was that they want people out for good.
And the way I read Bloombergs comments was that people can return as long as they "follow the rules." That means the park can't be used the way it was being used.

2. Gotcha, there is the catch. Mayor's orders. They may be making a terrible mistake.
And they don't have to. Well, being what they are, they have to...

4. I was out most of the afternoon and early evening. I hadn't seen this report
so I'm glad that I'm not alone in immediately smelling the stinky fish that has once again been shoved into our faces.

7. Suddenly they're nice? After a systematic war of attrition? Not buying it.
They're waging a war upon the protest. They're attempting to whittle it down, intimidate it, to break its spirit.

Anyone going to such lengths is the enemy. They are not to be trusted. If this were a war between two castles and kings, how many would laugh their damn heads off at such an offer?

10. Oh, for Pete's sakes,
there is NO way a aristicrat Mayor is going to lower himself to errand boy to set up a coup. He'd send someone else to take the blame.

9. Update from #OWS
http://www.politicususa.com/en/occupy-wall-street-liberty-plaza

On their Twitter feed, Occupy Wall Street has called the claim that the protesters must leave in order for the park to be cleaned a “pretext” for the removal of the protesters, and then they pointed out that the rules that the property owners want the city to enforce on the campers were put into place after people started camping out in the park.

The Occupy Wall Street organizers then came up with a plan. They are organizing a campaign to clean up the park, before the Friday deadline. Occupy Wall Street is asking people to donate, brooms, lots of brooms, mops, squeegees, buckets, waste bins, dust pans, trash bags, and they could use some power washers too. People can either bring the needed supplies to Liberty Plaza, or send them to their shipping address.

This is the perfect response to the Brookfield letter, which gives off the vibe of being a cheap attempt to get the protesters out. If the protesters clean up the park, then their removal will no longer be necessary. Plus, cleaning up the park is the right thing to do.
