Pence said the "American people spoke on November 2nd.." |
|
Did they not speak when they voted overwhelmingly for the Democrats on the first Tuesday of November 2 years ago?
Isn't it weird how "the American people" only speak when Republicans win?
I don't know why someone doesn't mention this?
Are the Democrats supposed to go along with the Republicans now that the "American people" have spoken?
What bullshit!

1. The sad thing is that the dems |
|
will go along with them now. They definitely won't use the tactics that the GOP used like keeping bills from coming to the floor etc. They will make deals and we will be on the losing end of it all.

The American people only speak on behalf of Republicans. And when it was the Will of the People between 2008 and 2010 to follow a Democratic agenda, we got nothing but obstruction, unprecedented obstruction, from the Republicans. Luckily for the GOP, they were never called on their obstructionist tactics in the popular media, nobody made a big deal about the extreme nature of that obstructionism, and even now, polls show that the American people trust the president and the Democrats far more than they do the Republicans to do something about the mess the Republicans have made of practically everything they get their greasy little mitts on.
But no, far be it from the Democratic leadership to stick up for their base. That would be . . . {jarring organ chord} partisan.

3. I say that the anonymous money that flowed into the Republican |

candidate's coffers "spoke" and the message was "the American people are unable to overcome our barrage of propaganda".
Thank you Supreme Court for allowing this to happen.

4. That was what I said when I read the subject line |
|
We spoke two years ago, loud and clear. Nobody wants to hear what we say, no matter how many of us there are.

9. When the dems won 2 years ago |
|
The Republicans said when they lost in 08 this is a message from the American people that the Democrats have to work with Republicans-and the Democrats said "um ok" we want to work with you.
NOW of course the Republicans won control of the house so they say HA HA we won the Americans want you to do what we say. And the saddest thing is the Democrats will probably say "um ok" and just continue to roll over.
