The "unwashed masses", or the Wingnuts obsession with cleanliness.
Edited on Thu Oct-13-11 09:39 AM by maxrandb
It's interesting to see the Right-Wing-Noise-Machine (RWNM) sputtering like a 1970's era Chrysler K-Car as they struggle to respond to the Occupy Wall Street movement. So far, their efforts to control public opinion have failed, as the movement appears to grow stronger every day.

All they have to counteract this "true" grassroots movement, is an attempt to cast the demonstrators as "unclean", or "slovenly". A brief review of any Faux corporate backed wingnut site, radio talk show, blog, or media personality reveals an almost "lock-step" depiction of the people at the protests as "unclean". In other words America...to the RWNM, you can ignore the valid concerns of the demonstrators because they haven't showered in a couple of days, or don't have the typical Tea Bagger 3-1 ratio of Porta-potties to participants.

I guess if the RWNM had been around during the Revolutionary War, they would be writing propaganda pieces for the British about the "smell" and "ragged clothes" of the Americans. If they had been around during the time of Christ, they would write propaganda pieces for the Romans about the "tattered sandals" and "dirty feet" of the Apostles.

If they had been around in World War II, they would have written propaganda pieces about the "squalor" of the Concentration Camps and heaped their scorn on the inmates, vice the Germans.

We're winning folks...that is the message the RWNM is sending.

1. Perhaps - that message won against the hippies the first time around.
People STILL talk about "dirty hippies". If we'd won that one, the meme wouldn't have any power.

No, they know what they're doing. It is PROFOUNDLY IMPORTANT to CONTINUALLY DEHUMANIZE the protesters. It's not about logic at all, it's about monkey brain stuff.

that there are "some who would pit Americans against other Americans"....

When your ideas have been proven to be crap, all you can do is demonize the "others". It's way past time to stand up to these morons on the right.

I am hopeful that the next place these protests target is the local offices of all the stinking "Clear Channel" radio stations in the country. Shut their "effing" propaganda down, and we may just be able to progress as a people and a country.

And I am advocating nothing but a "free-market" and "capitalist" solution. If local radio stations that broadcast nothing but wingnut crap are hurting our country and our communities...it is in our "free-market" interest to SHUT THEM DOWN!

11. The demonizing of the Youth Revolution of late 1960's .....
Here's something I wrote on another thread recently about that ---

and note that when demonizing didn't quite do it, they moved to a false

flag operation otherwise known as Charles Manson/Helter Skelter --

which even more today looks like a military operation ---

5. anyone who is over 50 remembers when people had a bath 1-2 a week
Usually on Saturday. Then people learned about GERMS and went way overboard in the quest to destroy them all.

Now we are taught to scrub ourselves with fragrance and chemical loaded crap everyday or we will SMELL BAD.

10. Evidently Jon Stewart picked up the "destroyed the bathrooms" theme ... unhappy to say!!
My son described it -- Samantha Bee routine --

Story generally how protesters were "destroying bathrooms of businesses" in Wall St

area -- and then not even buying anything.

Supposedly she finds a male protester -- escorts him into a MacDonald's rest room --

makes sure he doesn't make a mess -- and then she buys a doughnut or hamburger for him!!

What's with Jon Stewart?
