Boston: AFL-CIO President expected to speak at “Occupy Boston” demonstration

Officials from the state chapter of the AFL-CIO including President Steven Tolman plan to speak at the “Occupy Boston” demonstration. Tolman, the newly elected president, plans to speak in Dewey Square at 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon.

Later in the afternoon, members and officials from the state chapter of the AFL-CIO and the Greater Boston Labor Council plan to take part in the “Occupy Boston” demonstration. The members plan to gather at 3 p.m. ...

1. Obama's 3 free trade agreements passed yesterday which will gut jobs.

2. Not only does it hurt workers here, it hurts them overseas as well.

They will be forced to work in virtual slave labor conditions with no safety standards and will hardly make enough to survive.
