Update on protesters arrested outside Sen Ron Johnson's (R-Idiot) offices

MILWAUKEE- 19 protesters were arrested inside the Federal Courthouse Wednesday for trespassing after they demanded to see Senator Ron Johnson.

There were rumors that many of the protesters were from out of state, rumors Milwaukee Police initially confirmed.

We checked the arrest logs, and all 19 protesters who were arrested live in Wisconsin. Police say now say they made a mistake.

We asked Senator Johnson for comment on the protests. His office referred us to a statement released Wednesday, saying Johnson, "instructed my state director to offer to meet with any and all of the protesters who came to my Milwaukee and Oshkosh offices. Unfortunately, those who came to my Milwaukee office were more interested in scoring political points."
