Businesses, Residents Complain About ‘Occupy Sacramento’ Noise
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Dozens of people have been “occupying” downtown Sacramento trying to get their message out, but some people living nearby say they’ve heard enough.

Some neighbors believe the ongoing noise around Cesar Chavez Park is getting out of hand.

Honking horns and chants for change are common noises emanating from the park in an attempt to bring attention to “Occupy Sacramento” where protestors are pushing to right what they believe are society’s wrongs.

But others believe the ongoing noise is what’s unfair.

2. That park is noisy all the time.
In addition to being between two very busy streets, it's where the weekly outdoor concerts are held all summer, and protests are held there all the time, and the farmer's market draws huge crowds, and the rest of the time it's crazy homeless person yelling at imaginary enemies central.

It's also a block or less away from, depending on the direction, some of the busiest bars in town, light rail, the main jail, city hall, and the library (which is pretty noisy because of the homeless people.) It's a couple more blocks from a mall, the state capital, the train station, the area where the city wants to put the new basketball arena, and interstate five.

The area wasn't anywhere close to quiet before Occupy.
