Brief Report from Wall Street |
|
At least two ambulances heading down Broadway. Sirens. I passed three young men at Wall and Broadway shouting at people as they go to work, but no obscenities or anything that could be taken for "violence.".
It is rainy, humid and miserable here today. There are a lot of people, press and cops. Far more than usual. A lot of noise. But no violence that I can see. It is agitated though. Today is different than any other day here.
If something happens, we'll know quickly because there are a lot of press and camera crews.
The authorities should consider that there are probably 500 hardhats here working on the WTC and Fulton Street Station, very close to Liberty Park. This isn't Vietnam.
Bloomberg and Kelly fucked up big time. Morons.

1. I just took a walk back past the park and down to Wall St |
|
The police are restricting access to Wall St to people who can show a work ID for the area.
One of my coworkers said he saw a large group marching down Broadway and another saw police cars speeding in the same direction a short time later.
I am guessing the march was headed to bowling green since they definitely were not near the NYSE.
