What Montana hopes to learn from our health care
Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer turned to neighbouring Saskatchewan and its premier Brad Wall, for some health care tips. He wanted to know how he could expand Montana’s Medicaid program for seniors and other low income people into a state wide universal health-care plan like the one in Saskatchewan. So he asked Wall to help him work through the numbers, to compare the two systems.

“I looked at what they spend and what we do. They have a slightly larger population and for every man, child and woman in their health-care system, the cost is about $4 billion. In Montana, it’s about $8 billion,” he told a Washington Post interviewer.

1. Yes, but those socialist Canucks are starving their rich in order to do it.
They treat the drug companies unfairly by negotiating drug prices instead of just paying what the companies want. They don't allow insurance companies to prey on the populace. They fail to understrand that the purpose of a health care system is to transfer wealth from the poor and sick to the rich, and instead have some absurd notion that the system is supposed to take care of health. I mean, that would be like expecting the Clear Skies Initiative to reduce pollution or something.

2. Brad Wall is busy trying to destroy Saskatchewan's health insurance.
How ironic that Montana picks him as the spokesman for Canadian health care when Wall himself hates it.

3. Makes sense. In our system the profits for Insurancrance Companies
etc are part of the cost.
