Libyan Dictator, Muammar Qaddafi, Blames Wikileaks for Tunisia Uprising
'Pained' Libyan Dictator Blames Wikileaks for Tunisia Uprising
Gawker.com
January 16, 2011

As chaos reigns in neighboring Tunisia, Libya's "Brother Leader" Muammar Qaddafi went on television to say he is "very pained" to see another strongman fall. He's probably also upset over reports of riots breaking out in Libya.

"Tunisia now lives in fear ... Families could be raided and slaughtered in their bedrooms and the citizens in the street killed as if it was the Bolshevik or the American revolution," Qaddafi said in a heartfelt plea to his people yesterday, obviously hoping he doesn't get the Ben Ali treatment. He went on to blame "WikiLeaks, which publishes information written by lying ambassadors in order to create chaos."

And we all know how blood thirsty those "Bolsheviks" who led the American revolution for independence were! BBI

Muammar Gaddafi condemns Tunisia uprising
Libyan leader claims protesters led astray by WikiLeaks disclosures amid reports of unrest in Libya
By Matthew Weaver and agencies
January 16, 2011

The Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, has condemned the uprising in neighbouring Tunisia amid reports today of unrest on the streets of Libya.

In a speech last night Gaddafi, an ally of the ousted president, Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, said he was "pained" by the fall of the Tunisian government. He claimed protesters had been led astray by WikiLeaks disclosures detailing the corruption in Ben Ali's family and his repressive regime.

Gaddafi's comments reflect a nervousness among other long-serving Arab leaders that the uprising in Tunisia will embolden anti-government protests elsewhere in the region.

There were reports today, backed up by video evidence, of protests in the Libyan city of al-Bayda, according to the Guardian's Middle East specialist Brian Whitaker, writing on his blog al-bab.com. Protesters clashed with police and attacked government offices, in a demonstration about housing conditions, according to an opposition website.

Muammar Gaddafi, an ally of Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, said on Libyan TV that he was 'pained' by the fall of the Tunisian government.

Is Gaddafi suffering from a build up of gas or a bowel obstruction? He does seem to be "pained". BBI

5. He's been very quiet since the Clinton Administration.
They dropped a bomb on his palace, bounced his ass out of bed and killed one of his kids (if I remember correctly).

7. That was under Reagan
At least 100 people have died after USA planes bombed targets in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and the Benghazi region.
...
Colonel Muamar Gaddafi residential compound took a direct hit that killed Hanna Gaddafi, the adopted baby daughter of the Libyan leader.

President Reagan has justified the attacks by accusing Libya of direct responsibility for terrorism aimed at America, such as the bombing of La Belle discoteque in West Berlin 10 days ago.

One theory was that the PanAm bomb was retaliation for this.

4. He's lying. The immolation of a despairing young man,
unable to find work, who set up a fruit stand to try to make money, but had it confiscated by the Dictator's (our friend of course) police because he didn't have a permit, was the final straw for the people of Tunisia. The Dictator who was supported by the West had enriched himself and his family and oppressed the people for so long, torturing and exiling anyone who spoke up against the unjusices, was finally run out of the country.

Tunisia, like so many countries ravaged by the Globalists and their puppet governments, was a bubble waiting to burst and the suicide of that 26 year old man, was the spark that lit the fire.

Wikileaks cables did show what most Tunisians already knew, that the government was headed by corrupt, greedy, oppressive criminals. But it did not spark the revolution.

I'm sure Ghadafi's friends here will try to use that also. But it is an insult to the people of Tunisia who stood up so bravely against tyranny and as they said to make sure that the suicide of their fellow citizen was not in vain.
