Occupys are more famous and accepted than the Tea Parties!
Just heard on MSNBC that after an extensive poll, most voters accept the Occupys better than the infamous Tea Parties, they get a high percentage of approval, while the TeaBangers get a very small one. isn't that GREEEAT????

1. D.U. this poll (it's been quite 'holding steady' 70-30 since yesterday).

5. Because the focus is in the right direction. It didn't make sense
to many people that the Tea baggers were toting guns to rallies, disrupting town hall meetings, mainly older white folks wearing tea bags on their hats. They also started out calling themselves Tea baggers... who wants to call themselves tea baggers? AND they made no sense... They were mad at the idea the Govt might help out their neighbors with their home loans or modify overpriced mortgages... I would argue that the neighborhoods are much worse off now with empty, foreclosed properties on the st. Foreclosures devalue the neighborhood worse than having the govt come in and help out with a cram down and modify the loans. The real estate market would probably be stabilized at this time had congress bailed out actual homeowners instead of the banks.

The country would have been better off in 2009, when Barack Obama first came into office, to initiate a massive job hiring works program. Take the construction companies and move them onto working to improve and update municipal buildings and schools. They should have moved "teachers, etc" onto the Federal payroll to help towns, cities, counties, states with the burden of education. It would keep the educators and the children insulated against the recessed economy where tax revenue into the local economies retracted... They could even have provided before and after school day care programs to help parents with reduced incomes out; along with free breakfast and lunches for every child regardless of income (its not that expensive to feed the children). And free technologies like lap tops (Acer lap tops are rather cheap, I'm sure Bill Gates or Steve Jobs would have engaged a program with the US Govt for a cheaper rate to provide these technologies). It would also have a positive addition in helping out the parents of the children as well to be connected onto a computer in their home along with a contracted cheap internet fee and free for those under a certain income rate for the families to stay connected to the outside world and for them to look for jobs and send away applications... shoot a home that had 2 or 3 children would instantly be better off with 2 or 3 laptops or iPads in their home.

AND it didn't make any sense at all for old people on their govt paid for scooters to hold up signs that told the Govt to stay out of their medicare and social security. Most people do understand that medicare and social security is the govt. They shout out that Pres. Obama is a Kenyan, socialist, muslim, yet they are their trying to protect their "social" security. What part of socialism are they NOT liking? The birther nonsense was nonsense, especially when he provided the long form and made Donald Trump look like the most absolute tool. AND most people in this country support the idea of Medicare for All. The older people who have been in jobs that only provided healthcare thru their work place or have pensions or what not, and have been retired for 10 yrs or so, do NOT realize the costs of health care and that many, many workplaces do not provide health insurance to their employees, or if they do, the workers cannot afford it because they make so little. Walmart and such are literally a cost burden on society: they pay so little that many of their workers actually qualify for govt financial assistance like food stamps, SCHIP program, medicaid, energy assistance AND because its Walmart, they pay less taxes within the local community to house their store AND they drive out local businesses to the point that nothing is left but Walmart and then they jack up their prices because there is no longer any competition for them to worry about. There are 50 million Americans that have no health insurance. They cannot see a Dr and have to use the ER in cases of simple things like ear infections and such. Also, many know they are just one medical emergency away from losing everything. Even with health insurance, the costs of out of pocket burdens are extremely high along with prescriptions that are the highest going rates in the entire world because Congress has been bought by the BigPharma. 1/2 of all bankruptcies, even during these horrible economic conditions, are in fact, due to a medical crisis within the family (like cancer). They lose their life or their life's savings trying to fight for their lives. Most people understand this, and most people understand that donations at the local community church are not going to come close to covering the costs of an substantial medical costs. How many small communities can easily raise $150,000.00? What if that community is located in a "sick" area... say an area that has PCB contamination or some other corporate environmental disaster. The Gulf Coast region is going to only increase in medical issues over the years due to BP negligence. Who covers the costs of those who develop cancer or lung/ breathing issues, or increased child asthma or even the increase of women having miscarriages? The economy is going to suck ass due to the fishing being annihilated, so who's going to have money? AND before the current health care bill was passed, there were limits of costs placed on policies (like covering only 1 million for a lifetime) and there are entire departments within the insurance companies dedicated to denying claims and rescinding policies due to some small item like acne when they were a teen when a person had an actual need for the insurance when a person truly became sick, say with cancer, and would the company would have to pay out of their "profit". It is inhumane to allow a corporation dedicated to its stock holders to make money every quarter, to provide a human need that deals with life and death.

Keith Olberman was correct when he stead that under normal circumstances, when people are dissatisfied with a product or company, they boycott, but how do you boycott something that means life and death if you don't have it. So, their continued scams continue on. The reason for govt is to represent the people and protect the people from basic blackmail through fear. Yet, they bought the politicians with their "profits" off of our pain and suffering and they insulate themselves. So, now most people get that private insurance doesn't work. They want in on the Medicare for All. They want in on covering all people for human reasons. AND people recognize they are literally beholden to their company for health benefits, rather than working to do something they wish to pursue or work on independently. All the while, the companies treat the govt officials like kings and provide wonderful service at a very reduced rate so that they don't really have to see what's going on. They are insulated in the DC culture and have no idea how pissed people are.

The tea party took the rage and directed it into bullshit that derailed us for too long. They can't understand the Occupy Movement or why its taken off like a firestorm and is now in 1400 + different communities around the country... AND now the world is joining in and uniting as a force that calls for the people to matter and the 1% who run around sticking us with wars and stealing our work wealth for themselves isn't working. We demand change. We demand a better, just world. We demand for accountability and justice. AND in a totally peaceful manner of protest and occupation. It scares them because they don't understand it and they can't control it. Their laughter and now heavy hand of using force against peaceful people who are the 99% and who are standing up against the capitalistic/ socialistic protection of failure in system that does not work, is scary because the movement encompasses the rest of the world. 99% is too big to fail against the 1% who have created a system in which they demand the power because power has been instilled into monetary value for such a long time, and the belief in that system of power is faltering. Bill Maher said on Rachel the other night, the idea that everyone can be rich is a faulty notion. A teacher is never going to be rich, a fireman, a policeman, etc.. however, thankfully, he had a job as a "comedian" in entertainment that did pay well. AND that's the thing. They don't get it. People are not out in the streets demanding to be rich. They are out in the streets demanding justice and fairness in a system that allows everyone to humanely live and in a manner in which everyone, world wide can live, and in a sustainable manner. There is no reason we have not switch into sustainable energy, other than the fact that those who are in the "oil" business have money and protect themselves from that change. The pipeline and the BP spill are such great examples of the need to change our "energy" sources. The young people get that they are paying extreme prices for technology (apple) while those who make the products are working and living as slaves and that there is no reason for that method. The product can be made with environmental and worker protections etc, and still make a profit for the company. It is those at the top who are greedy and demand more and more. So, people pay too much to be connected and institute the Global corporate pillage of people's rights. However, we still must use what we have now to stay connected and create the revolution. Only "awake" people can change the game.
