Absolute proof that Tea Baggers are Ignorant...
...and should go home and lock themselves in their rooms.

They have come out in support of Herman Cain and his 9-9-9 plan.

Supposedly they are against huge government spending. The 9-9-9 plan would greatly increase the deficit and the debt. Either they can be for one or the other - they cannot be for both.

Also, they don't want government to mess with their Medicare. Well, Herman Cain's plan would destroy Medicare and Social Security because no one would pay taxes to keep them alive. Is that what they truly want? Or have they been lying all this time.

Either they are very, very ignorant of what the 9-9-9 plan does or they are a bunch of liars? Until they can decide what they stand for, they should shut up and go home... in my opinion.

12. or selfish
999 would destroy Medicare and Social Security because no one would pay taxes to keep them alive. But it would take a while to die out

Most of them are old and do not care as long as they got theirs already.

17. It gets stranger day by day. If I had kids I would do my best to get them the hell out of the US
before the borders are sealed off to keep us in ... I had that chance as a kid, but elected to stay here, but back then the US was pretty much OK. Now, there is a lot of strangeness.

4. The proof lies with the name they chose for themselves
that is completely at odds with everything they stand for. After that it was all down hill with the ignorance-a-thon.

14. And Cain is just a flashy showman
I don't think he believes half of what he says and as you said, "999" is an easy soundbite. Evidently "999" works for people with a VERY short attention span and they'll be easily diverted with the next soundbite which is surely right around the corner.

20. Carnival barkers and performers
are the type of candidates that the party seeks out. They don't care so much about the person as much as they do the image. When they tried to recruit Fred Thompson (looking for another Reagan), I thought it was hysterical. They sell candidates like Kellogg sells junk cereal to children.

7. Ironically, he validates their racism...
He gives them "permission" to deny, deride, and dismantle every aspect of social equity achieved over the past fifty years, with his own determined attempts to distinguish himself from the majority (and majority experience) of African Americans. His denial that racism continues to drive gross race and class-based inequities and his willingness to allow his own atypical experience to be used to deny these issue exist at all, is a gift to the teabaggers. He makes grotesque racism "acceptable."

His opportunism comes at the expense of countless millions of others. We need to be color blind in denouncing him because his tactics are no different than those willing to succeed at the expense of the countless millions of impoverished--of all races, gender, ethnicities--and who share some element of common experience so as to make their blame of the victims "acceptable".

8. You may be right...
I think many or most of them are racist and his experience gives them reason to believe their racism is acceptable.

23. Old, ignorant, and resentful
most of them. What they have always heard from El-Rush-bo is that government taxes and regulations have always held them back from achieving the American dream (being a show business entertainer or politico like him). Because they believed him, many are having a difficult time coming to grips with the reality that they didn't make it. Not only that, many of them wasted what could have been valuable savings for old age by constantly ordering every $799.99 course on "how to make a million trading stocks" and "how to become rich buying real estate with nothing down" and "how to earn a fortune starting an online business." Of course, this came after they had already lost thousands on "owning wealth through investment in newly discovered potentially giant oil fields", that only selective speculators could take advantage of. I, being one of the fortunate ones to be so blessed, can testify to the failure of one of these oil ventures.

Therefore, they're mad as hell at the world and guvamint and foreigners and themselves and arthritis and rhuematism and ghout and public schools they once attended and everythin else under the stars because they're old and DIDN'T MAKE IT IN RADIO LIKE EL-RUSH-BO DID.

So why didn't they make it like EL-RUSH-BO? Because the guvamint held them back with Medicare, Social Security and social programs. So, when these teabagging nutjobs freak out and tell you they hate social security and medicare, they don't mean they hate it for them. That's all they have left, if that. They mean they hate it for anyone else because they have to pay for it with their taxes. But, don't dare touch theirs. Because they're mad as hell.

If they would have stopped and thought about it, the American dream for their parents and generations before had only been having a small home, a secure job to feed the family, and a maybe a Ford or Chevy parked out front. It wasn't anything about making trizillions or getting rich.
