Why are corporations not Hiring? The Answer is simple.
They want to get rid of Obama. After having found willing Corporate Whores in the Republican party and some democrats they want to keep their power.

Logic they use: If the economy is bad, then Obama will be voted out by one of their Corporate Whores in the Republican Party.

It's not a conspiracy, Occam's Razor has been in full effect since 2008.

1. Ours isn't hiring because we have experienced a 30% dropoff in business.
Believe me, we'd love to experience enough demand that new hires became a necessity.

2. And they've made it through the first 3 years, the last will be easy.
Keep in mind that they are making money hand over fist too. There is no reason at all for them to hire - but I don't think that will have that much effect on the election. I think the out of work folks who voted for him last time around will, for the most part, vote for him again - at least those who vote again. Remember, there were a lot of first-time voters in 2000 and having seen little to no result for their efforts many of them may not bother to go back to the booth.

3. No doubt in my mind:
An acquaintance of mine went to a high-end party in NYC a couple of years ago, where some joker said that they had the $$ and they had the ABILITY to hire, but they hated Obama so much that they were going to wait out his time in office ... I believe the Repubs know this, and if they take WH (all three), watch Corp. America start hiring willy-nilly.

Just one woman's opinion.

in fact, they pretty much haven't been hiring since 911. i believe there are fewer jobs today per capita than there were when he was inaugurated.

How many of those greedy fucks would willingly forgo more profits just to suit their ideology?

10. We've held off hiring because a few of our deals are in doubt
I was supposed to get a promotion. I got the bump in pay because I'm pretty busy these days trying to keep these deals alive but as we aren't hiring there's no one for me to manage.

We want to hire but unless our clients pull the trigger on the deals we don't have the need so we aren't going to spend the money.

12. Yes, they know that they are sitting on piles of cash but they hold out NOT
due to uncertainty but for greed and republican ideology that will be rewarded if they can ruin the Obama presidency.

Your mileage may vary, some are just gorging on outsourcing or needing customers.

13. In some cases productively has gone up, so more profits, more labor not needed. In some
cases investing the money pays more profit than hiring more people. In other cases they are just increasing prices for goods sold, so more employees not needed. And as you say, some are holding back, they want to get rid of Obama.

This is not a healthy country, it's quite sick and there are huge obstacles to it getting better. The most bothersome today is many are willing to sacrifice the future of the country for greed and political gain.

The current system is corrupt as hell and is dangerous. The real wealth and powerful in this country are sitting back pulling strings to benefit their interests and the hell with most of the citizens. It's outrageous, but finally Americans are really waking up.

14. That's part...but they know they've been able to get away with not hiring
and making obscene profits for some time now, and so they'll continue to do so.

15. Mainly, though, it's cheaper to hire offshore labor. That's the real reason. nt
